COACH EAMON.

Eamon Mckenna | Coach | Oshkosh, WI

Eamon joins us from Oshkosh, Wisconsin and grew up in Ashippun, Wisconsin. He graduated as Valedictorian from Oconomowoc High School in 1999 where he finished 3rd in D1 State in the 3200m his senior year. Eamon graduated from UW Oshkosh with Summa Cum Laude honors in 2004, and as a student athlete he was a 4 time All American and multiple time Academic All American. Eamon earned his Master's Degree from UW Milwaukee in 2008.

Eamon is well versed as a coach having experience in middle school, high school, and college cross country and track & field. He currently coaches collegiately at UW Oshkosh and has coached 4 National Champions & 47 All-Americans from the 800m to the 10K. He also enjoys coaching postgraduate runners with aspirations ranging from success in mid-distance events to completing ultra marathons. As a self-coached post-collegiate runner himself, he recognizes the benefit of having structure and someone to help encourage consistency, patience, and confidence, which he missed during those years.

Eamon loves what running does for him and others, especially the benefits it provides in building confidence, building a healthy body, and helping contribute to improved mental health. Eamon has known Tyler since 2006, and he is excited to be on board helping contribute to the values that North Coast Running promotes.
